Meet Susan Flockhart

We’re delighted to celebrate Susan Flockhart as the runner-up in our 2024 competition. Based in Twickenham, Susan creates atmospheric watercolours inspired by nature, with a particular focus on rainfall and water. Her work often carries a quiet narrative, shaped by her love of literature and historical illustration. Alongside traditional watercolours, she experiments with medieval miniature techniques, adding a unique depth to her paintings.
